This painting depicts Swallow Falls, a picturesque waterfall in Betws-y-Coed, Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. After a week-long stay in Snowdonia National Park in February, I have painted many of the landscapes I photographed whilst there.

I was particularly inspired by the rushing water and rock formations around Swallow Falls. The water was so loud and angry after many days of heavy rainfall.
